About Us
For
many years we had become increasingly fed up with eating
the tasteless meat that is marketed as free-range, Corn-fed
Chicken.In June 2009 the
opportunity arose for us to move to a property with land in
Scotland. This gave us the chance to start our own Poultry
Farm and give our birds the best start in a
free-roaming, stress-free life, as nature intended.
We decided to keep Turkeys,
Chickens,
Geese and Ducks. We
plan to rear different breeds of free range Table Birds
for optimum size and taste. |

Our Aims
At present, we are relatively small producers. In order to
maintain the quality we are producing a batch of birds on a
monthly basis. We sell to the general public (who can
come and collect their orders, or have them delivered by
courier)
Our aim is to build up a regular
clientele who appreciate the effort we are putting in to
produce naturally and traditionally reared food with real
flavour. Luckily for us, people are now starting to demand
this.
Please note Giblets
are included with all our birds.
Our minimum order is 2 birds,

About our
Birds
Our turkeys are fed on wheat and the
same natural formula feed as the chickens. Judging by our
customers reaction and the amount of repeat orders, we really
do believe we produce a bird that has no equal.
Bronze turkeys are a
game bird and therefore require hanging to bring out the
maximum flavour. We find that
10 days brings out a flavour
and texture to suit most of
our customers. However, if you
would like a longer or shorter hanging time, please let us
know. |

How we feed
our Birds for best health and flavour!
All the
Geese
are free-range and graze in large grass paddocks, being shut
in at night for their own protection.
Their diet consists of grass, wheat and a specially prepared
seed, containing no additives or growth promoters.
These factors help to produce a goose with a lovely yellow
skin,
as opposed to the whiteness of the intensively reared bird.
We also sell
fresh, Free-range Hens and Duck Eggs plus Pure-bred Fowl
Eggs - noted for their
spectacular rich orange yolks! |
