At Linskeldfield Holiday cottages we can appreciate the organisation and packing required when holidaying with young children, our new child-friendly holiday facilities should help to take away some of the stress and make your holiday much more enjoyable, and give you some much needed extra space in your car!
We have permanent stair gates fitted in our Otters Pocket and Ospreys Nest cottages at the top of the staircase. We also have child locks fitted on the under sink cupboard doors so cleaning products, dishwasher tablets etc can be safely stored.
Otters Pocket and Ospreys Nest cottages have blackout blinds fitted to all bedroom windows to ensure a great nights sleep for all.
Our cottage's have ample storage space for pushchairs.
Please note we have a Tarn nature reserve close to the cottages which is a large open area of water through this area is totally fenced off with large gates which are always closed but children must be supervised at all times when playing outside.
We have a large grassed enclosed play area in front of the cottages which has football goal posts and a Childrens Adventure tower including a 1.5m high tower deck, 1.5m high wave slide, 1.5m rock wall climber, fun telescope, multi swing unit, ladders with safety barriers and picnic table and benches, we hope this will provide hours of fun for our smaller guests.
New for 2012 we have a large selection of ride on toys including tractors, car, fire engine and trikes, the large patio area in front of the cottages provides an excellent safe race course which can be seen from all cottages.
Also a lovely wooden play house with play kitchen for entertainment for all weathers.
While on holiday if you fancy a long hike in the fells or a quiet romantic evening meal and would like to used the service of a locally registered childminder for either onsite evening babysitting or daytime off site childminding we can reccommend Rachel Mossop, based less than 3 miles from our Cottages she has over 10 years experience of childminding, she is fully policed checked and is passionate about children. We can provide most of the items you would have at home waiting ready for use in your cottage on arrival, just look through the menu below and tick the boxes you require, you can amend this list anytime but we do ask for at least 6 weeks prior to your stay to ensure we can meet your needs. If there is anything not on this list you may want please ask and we may be able to provide extra items
